As part of the renovation of the Basilica in Kalwaria Pacławska, the Franciscan Order requested assistance in preparing a completely new lighting concept for the interior. The old metal halide lighting was highly makeshift and energy-consuming.

The project proved to be challenging due to the need to preserve the historical Baroque style and the status of the building as a monument under the care of a conservator. We had to illuminate the entire church and highlight the most important symbols of the basilica. The walls and ceilings of the temple are covered with Baroque frescoes depicting religious scenes and motifs, while the presbytery and side altars are adorned with rich ornamental decorations, pilasters, and gilded columns. The basilica also hosts TV broadcasts, which presented another challenge. All our proposals regarding the types of fixtures, their quantity, and installation locations had to be consulted and approved by the monument conservator.
We developed the perfect concept that met the expectations of the order and the requirements set by the conservator. We used specialized fixtures with adjustable optics and light intensity, all controlled wirelessly.
During the commissioning stage of the control system and fixture aiming, we prepared several scenes for specific events held in the Basilica. The operation and control of the lighting are very intuitive and are managed from a tablet, which is now used by the friars. The final result was overwhelmingly positive, with the Franciscan fathers summarizing that it now looks "like in the Vatican."

Lighting the Masterpiece – GRODNO Illuminates Poland’s Only Van Gogh
"Stories of One Painting" is a special exhibition dedicated to the only Vincent van Gogh painting in a Polish collection—an extraordinary work by the Dutch post-impressionist master. Held at the John Paul II and Stefan Wyszyński Museum in Wilanów, the exhibition is both a cultural landmark and a technical challenge: how to present a world-renowned piece of art with the respect, care, and clarity it deserves.
